Olga Szomańska



Olga performed in multiple dramas and musicals, e.g. Miss Saigon and Grease in Roma Theatre, Flowers in hair, Missa Gospel’s and many others. Between 2003 and 2015 Olga collaborated with Rampa Theatre (Conjurer from Lublin, Golden Duck, Pinokio, The Pinsk Gentry ecc.).
She performed in the musical Legally Blonde and the play Revue Variete at the Cracow Variete Theater, the musical spectacle Teutonic Knights rock-opera, as well as in the play for children Oku-la-la-ry.
Currently, we can see her in the musical The Sister Act at the Musical Theater in Poznań and The Witches of Eastwick at the Syrena Theater in Warsaw.
Since April 2014, Olga performes in M jak miłość as Marzenka Laskowska. She also starred in the movie Klechdy dir. Paweł Łukomski.
Cooperation with Piotr Rubik and Zbigniew Książek resulted in the recording of albums from the oratorio Tu es Petrus and Siedem Pieśni Marii, which were successively awarded with the status of: double diamond and double platinum.
She was the first Polish singer to perform a duet with Andrea Bocelli in the Polish-Italian version of the song Vivere, during the inaugural concert of the ESK Wrocław 2016 program at the Municipal Stadium in Wrocław.
In 2011, she released her first solo album Nówka (A brand-new one). In 2013, she performed (along with the Cugowski brothers and Gienek Loska) in the Salute to Queen concert tour, dedicated to the legendary group of Queen.
During the nationwide concert tour Olga Szomańska- Kolędowa, a live recording was made, the premiere of which took place in December 2016. A month earlier, her compilation album W D
uetach was released (with the participation of Janusz Radek, Krzysztof Kiljański, Mateusz Ziółko). Currently, they are working on her second, original album.
In May 2018 she did a duet with Bobbie McFerrin.
She’s associated with Włodek Szomański’s Not Only Gospel Festival in Mieroszewo.
Olga is the winner of the SuperJedynki Festival in Opole, the Grand Prix of the Jedynki Sopot and the Top Trendy Festival for the song Niech mówią że to nie jest miłość (from the oratorio Tu es Petrus), The Silver Face of the 6th edition of the popular entertainment tv show Your Face Sounds Familliar and of Jan Kiepura’s Theater Music Award for the Best Musical Vocalist in 2017.
